Dear Colleagues,
I would like to thank all of you for your support and guidance in relaunching this website for Society of Surgeons of Pakistan. It is a part of our endeavors to make society of Surgeons of Pakistan, Lahore a vibrant active and forward looking body for the Surgeons. It will provide an opportunity for interaction amongst its members to present interesting cases, share wisdom and knowledge.
Society of Surgeons has come a long way. It used to be an umbrella organization of all surgical & allied specialties. All of them now have their own full fledged Societies but Society of Surgeons of Pakistan still remains the most vibrant & representative body of all surgeons.
It has been at the fore front for the development of Surgical fraternity. It has been providing occasions for interaction between local & foreign surgeons, opportunities to improve skills at various workshops & to exchange their ideas at different conferences. I believe that Society of Surgeons should be more than this. It should be a torch bearer to provide better trained & skillful practitioner of the art & science of surgery.
The Society should provide opportunities for better training of Surgeons in training & also to improve skills of trained Surgeons. We should emphasize that no surgeon can provide optimum care to patient alone. It is a team work. We need to take steps to improve working conditions of Our hospitals & status of our colleagues.
All this & every thing else would require your whole hearted cooperation ,support & guidance. Let me assure you that we will leave no stone unturned in striving for a Society of Surgeons whose name would be synonymous with academic excellence & quality Surgical Care
